Letter Written By Madam C.J. Walker To Attorney & Office Manager, 04/17/1917 Original written by Madam C.J. Walker herself, to her attorney and office manager F.B. Ransom dated April 17, 1917 and signed by Madam C.J. Walker herself. The business letterhead of this particular letter details the name, phone number, and address of her manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, IN, as well as the location of her New York branch offices, and Lelia College wherein "treating and teaching Mme. Walker's method of Hair Growing" was conducted. Pristine Condition fragile with small tears at the bottom which do not compromise the writing. (Background History: This is considered a Business letter inasmuch as, Madam made it her practice to write to F.B.Ransom while she was traveling, to instruct him in matters pertaining to her business although, very often, her personal affairs were commingled therein. In this particular letter she indicates that she is traveling by train from Columbia Miss., to Jackson Miss., heading to Nashville TN. Madame promoted her business by traveling from city to city, renting halls and churches, in order to promoter her hair care products and to recruit Madam Walker agents.) 10 1/2"H x 8 1/2"W
