Biography from the Archives of askART: Born in Rome, Italy, Emanuel Romano became a painter, illustrator, muralist and teacher in New York City where from 1944 to 1945 he taught at the City College of New York. One of his murals is in the Klondike Building, Welfare Island, New York. He studied in Switzerland and exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and in 1940 at the Art Institute of Chicago.
